Dwayne Terry

Raised in California's Inland Empire and now residing just North of Little Rock, Arkansas. I share a home with my wife, two of our four children, three dogs, and one feline named Missy-Voodoo, who, wakes me most mornings with scratchy little licks to my closed eyelids.

I've spent three years of my life traveling South Asia learning the philosophies, absorbing the culture, and reaching an understanding that, despite spiritual or cultural differences, humans the world over need and crave the same basic things; love, understanding, and acceptance.  

I spend my days running a small contracting company, my evenings working at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and my off time cooking for, and spending time with my wonderful family. Somewhere in-between, I sometimes find the time to write a short story or poem which serves me as an outlet for the emotional person that I am.

One of my many hopes, is that someone reading one of my works will find that he/she is not alone in this mess of a world we live in. That we are all bound together by our shared humanity, and that a path to happiness can be found in our uniquely human ability for compassion toward our fellow man.
